 Moorhouse Consulting, always looking for the best PPM consultants! Moorhouse Consulting is a premier project and programme management consultancy committed to helping our clients deliver their complex initiatives through structured, pragmatic PPM techniques. Although there is no such thing as a ‘typical role’, we employ a best-in-class PPM approach to assist in the definition, initiation and delivery of complex programmes. We have grown steadily since the company was formed in early 2004 and have continued to grow through the economic downturn; we are now >60 strong. We work in both public and private sectors, primarily in and around London. We recruit only former upper-quartile ‘big firm’ consultants with a minimum of three years experience. All our consultants have recognised PPM qualifications and accreditations. We punch above our weight in many areas. We regularly compete against the big name firms and win – clients choose us for our top quality consultants, our specific experience in PPM, our delivery focus and our value for money. We are the current IBC Practice of the Year and in 2008 the APM named us Project Management Company of the Year. Our consulting style and approach to work is grounded in a strong values-based culture. We are committed to taking our work seriously but not ourselves and believe strongly in the need to spend time as a team, outside of the office environment to get a fresh perspective and recharge. We believe in collectively driving the business, and all team members have a genuine input to the direction of the firm’s travel. The whole firm embarks upon a two-day ‘escape’ once each quarter to review progress and plan the future of Moorhouse Consulting. Once a year this is a five day trip – the last five locations for these have been the French Alps, Morocco, Slovenia, Andalucia and Umbria (with a 50/50 mix of work and play). We are huge advocates of professional development – our programme includes external, accredited qualifications, internal training sessions (at least twice per month) plus regular knowledge-sharing “marketplaces” where consultants can swap deliverables, “hints and tips” and assignment stories. Our team members are involved in all aspects of running the firm, from business strategy to recruitment and from marketing to designing our office space. We promote our people as soon as they are ready, so you won’t find any set “time in grade”. We are always on the look-out for excellent Senior Consultants, our entry grade, typically with 4-5 years relevant consulting experience, at least 3 of which have been with a “big name” consulting firm. Our Senior Consultants earn a cash package of circa £80,000 per annum and get to work with senior level clients from the outset.
