Top-Consultant.com is getting ready to host its second virtual consultancy careers fair, building on the success of its first-of-a-kind virtual fair held in June last year and its physical Consultancy Careers Fair staged in London each October. The virtual fair will take place on 20th February and it will again use a platform from iCongo Live, the leading developer of online events, virtual trade shows and job fair systems. A virtual careers fair is very similar to a physical one. Participants can visit company stands on any or all of the 3 floors (1) Management Consultancy opportunities in the UK; 2) IT consulting opportunities in the UK; and 3) Overseas consulting opportunities), talk in real time to company representatives, present their CVs, attend presentations and pick up corporate literature, all from anywhere in the world that they can access a broadband internet connection. So time away from billable client work is minimised and travel expenses are eradicated. Criteria for attending – are you eligible for a place? The recruiters exhibiting at this event are interested in hiring two distinct profiles of candidates. To be offered a place at this event you should be able to answer yes to one of the following two questions: >>> Are you a Management Consultant or IT Consultant? Firms are interested in hiring individuals who have prior consulting experience employed with either a leading global consulting brand or a niche specialist consultancy firm. If you are a current or recent employee of a consulting firm then you are likely to be granted a place at this event. >>> Are you a fast-track Executive from a renowned blue-chip corporate or public sector employer? Also of interest are fast-track executives with outstanding academic credentials, now considering a career transition into consulting. To be eligible for a place you must i) have a 2.1 or First-class degree from a leading university or an MBA from one of the elite business schools; and ii) have a promotion record that puts you amongst the highest achievers within your organisation / peer group. Please Note: this event is not intended for University finalists as firms will only be represented by their experienced hires teams; current full-time MBA students are also discouraged from applying as client firms are interested in meeting candidates that could join them immediately.
