Marc Jantzen. Marc is Founder and Managing Director of Jantzen Consulting and Associate Director at Equiteq. He was previously Owner and Managing Director of Blue Sky Performance Improvement.
Marc trained as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse working in corporate finance, audit and corporate recovery. He joined Pepsico in 1994 to gain operational retail experience and went on to lead the highest performing region in the UK. Next stop: a 17 year career leading and growing Blue Sky, a performance improvement consulting business, delivering sales and service transformation programmes to blue chip organisations such as Barclays, Sage, O2 and Virgin.
Blue Skyís programmes won more than 30 industry awards, delivered on average 300% ROI and by applying their performance principles internally, accelerated the growth of Blue Sky.
Marc sold Blue Sky to Capita in 2013 for a reported £12m and successfully completed his earn out in 2015. After taking time out travelling, Marc is back helping consultancy owners realize their dreams through growing and selling their businesses. Marcís new business, Jantzen Consulting offers training and mentoring to owners of consulting businesses that currently deliver up to £10m in revenue and want to accelerate growth towards an exit.

Paul Collins. Paul is the founder and Chairman of Equiteq LLP, an M&A transaction and strategic advisory firm focused exclusively on the Consulting and IT Services sector. Formerly he was founder and Chief Executive of World Class International (WCI Group), a consulting firm that consistently appeared in the Sunday Times Fast-Track list and that Paul personally built up to over 350 consulting staff in less than a decade. Paul sold WCI in 2002 and retired from the company in 2004 whilst still under the age of 50. However after a year fly fishing, Paulís entrepreneurial nature kicked in again!
Since coming back out of retirement Paul has been strategic advisor to the boards of numerous consulting firm owners around the globe, helping them to realise their financial goals. His team at Equiteq has led the sale of over 50 firms in the sector and over 100 other firms are actively using the Equiteq Growth Accelerator (EGA) model to achieve robust growth and deliver their equity value targets.
When he founded WCI in 1986 it took 10 bumpy years to reach £4M in sales and 20 consultants, but only another 7 years to reach £63M and 350 consultants. What changed? Paul realised that the business would never be able to scale without having the vision of an end game in mind, and that the vision needed to be supported with an equity growth plan delivering sustained sales and profit growth. This gave birth to the ĎEight Levers of Equity Valueí model now being used successfully by consulting firms around the world.
Paul will share his personal experience of what it takes to build a sustainable business with £50M of equity value and then successfully exiting from the business. Paulís story is inspirational, and was exceptional in its day, when M&A activity in the sector had not yet taken off and there was no one to advise on how to do it. It is even more achievable now, with hundreds of small to medium sized firms being bought and sold each year.
